Management

Craig Carson

Chief Executive Officer

Craig joined Infigen Energy in 2010 and has responsibility for all of Infigen’s activities in the US.

Craig has more than 25 years of leadership and senior management experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining Infigen Energy, Craig was Vice President, US Cogeneration at BP Alternative Energy, where he had full profit & loss responsibility for BP’s US Cogeneration business unit.  Craig previously was responsible for the engineering, construction, operations and asset management for BP Wind Energy.  Prior to joining BP, Craig held senior positions with ConocoPhillips and SkyGen Energy, and served in the US Navy.

Craig holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.


David Smith

Vice President, Commercial

David is responsible for managing all commercial and administrative functions of Infigen Energy’s US business, including risk management, regulatory affairs, IT, and 24/7 operations.

David has more than 15 years experience in the power industry.  Prior to assuming his current role, David was the COO for Infigen Energy’s asset management business in the US. 

Before joining Infigen Energy, David held senior management roles in power marketing, origination, consulting and analysis at PPL Corporation, Pace Energy and Washington International Energy Group. David’s experience spans both renewable energy and conventional power sources.

David has a BA in Public Administration from James Madison University and an MA in Public Administration from George Mason University.


Hans Owen

Vice President, Operations

Hans is responsible for the safe, reliable and cost effective operation of Infigen Energy projects.

Hans has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry in roles that include operations, engineering, asset management and construction. He has held senior management roles in several companies such as BP Alternative Energy, Calpine, Shell and Enron, and has experience in wind, thermal and solar power generation.

Hans earned a BS Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a registered professional engineer.

Greg Flowers

Vice President of Finance & US CFO

Greg has responsibility for all of Infigen Energy’s accounting and finance operations in the US leadership and management experience in various technology industries.

Greg has more than 15 years of finance and operations leadership and management experience in various technology industries.  His experience spans senior positions at both large public companies, and small privately held companies.

Prior to joining Infigen Energy, Greg was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Sipera Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for management of all financial and administrative activities of this high growth provider of Voice over IP security. He also held a similar position at GTESS Corporation, a provider of software as a service-based healthcare claims processing. Greg has also held senior finance positions at Alcatel, Teledata Inc., and DSC Communications. Greg has a BA in Economics from Fort Lewis College and an MBA from Baylor University.


Andrew Flanagan

Vice President, Asset Management & Development

Andrew has responsibility for maximising the value of Infigen Energy’s business through the asset management and development functions.

Andrew has more than 14 years of experience in the asset management, project development, project management and project finance of both wind and natural gas power generation facilities.

Prior to joining Infigen Energy, he served as the Vice President – Development for Invenergy, and as an Asset Manager for Calpine Corporation.  Andrew has successfully led the development, construction or asset management of 10 wind and natural gas fired projects totaling more than 3,500 MW in operation. 

Andrew holds a BS in Marine Engineering Systems from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Gilberto Flores

Director of Human Resources

Gil is responsible for managing all human resources matters for Infigen Energy’s US region.

Gil has 19 years of Human Resources experience and has held positions in all levels of leadership in the USA and abroad including countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.  Prior to joining Infigen Energy, Gil was responsible for managing Human Resources at a variety of locations for Cargill, Inc.

He holds a BS in Business Management from American University in Paris, and is a Certified Professional in Human Resources.

Kathleen Esposito

Vice President of Legal and General Counsel

Kathleen is responsible for managing all legal matters for Infigen Energy’s US region.

Kathleen has more than 13 years of private practice and corporate in-house legal experience involving energy, banking, transaction and regulatory work.  

Prior to joining Infigen, she served as corporate counsel to several major US energy companies in support of energy trading, transactional and regulatory affairs matters. Kathleen holds a BS is Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law.
