The Alinta Wind Farm commenced full operations in January 2006 with a total installed capacity of 89.1MW and a net capacity factor of 47.0%.
The Alinta Wind Farm consists of 54 NEG Micon NM82 - 1.65 MW wind turbines. It is located in mid northwest Western Australia, approximately 30km south east of Geraldton and 12 km inland from the Indian Ocean. Electricity generated from the Alinta Wind Farm is exported to a 132kV transmission line which crosses the wind farm site.

A PPA for the full amount of electricity generated is in place. The Agreement has a term of 20 years from first commercial supply with an option to extend to 25 years. Two REC Purchase Agreements are also in place.
