CAPITAL WIND FARM
The Capital wind farm became operational on 1 January 2010, and is part of the Capital Renewable Energy Precinct located near Bungendore in New South Wales, Australia. The Capital wind farm comprises 67 Suzlon S88 wind turbines which all have a rating of 2.1 MW, and has a total installed capacity is 140.7 MW (megawatts).Read more here.
WOODLAWN WIND FARM
The Woodlawn wind farm achieved practical completion on 17 October 2011. The wind farm comprises 23 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines and has a total installed capacity of 48.3 MW.Read more here.
CAPITAL EAST SOLAR FARM
The Capital East project - a solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage facility - started generating electricity in September 2013. The first 120 kilowatt stage of the project was designed to trial innovative technologies and construction techniques. The project is also a demonstration facility to support Infigen Energy’s entry into large-scale solar PV generation and integration of energy storage technologies.Read more here.
The proposed Capital 2 wind farm and the Capital solar farm would form a significant addition to Infigen’s existing Capital Renewable Energy Precinct. Infigen Energy has received project approval from relevant NSW planning authorities for both development projects:Capital 2 wind farm (90-100 MW)andCapital solar farm (50 MW).
