Newsletter, September 2015
21 August 2015
It has been an unusually quiet month in the Australian clean energy industry. There have been no major news stories or industry announcement since the last update. The Senate Select Committee on Wind Turbines released their final report, which can be found online, including the dissenting report from Senator Anne Urquhart.
Updates from our development pipeline
There are no key events to announce regarding Infigen’s developments near the Capital Renewable Energy Precinct.
Updates from the Capital Renewable Energy Precinct
Whilst several turbines are undergoing scheduled maintenance, all turbines on site are available to generate. June and August are traditionally high winds months, and this has been reflected in recent production.
Capital Community Fund
The Capital Community Committee met for a quarterly review of sponsorship applications received by Infigen Energy on Thursday, 9 July 2015 in Bungendore. To date, the Capital Community Fund has distributed $59,560 to various community projects in Bungendore and Tarago. The next quarterly review will take place in September 2015. If you wish to submit your application, please fill in the forms available here and send to email@example.com by 31 August 2015.
Other consultation matters
The Capital Community Committee also discusses matters relevant to Infigen Energy’s operating wind farms and solar farm, as well as development projects (Capital 2 wind and Capital solar farms). The meetings provide an open forum where members of the public are invited to participate. If concerns are raised, these are addressed depending on their nature and relevance, either by escalating with the wind farm Site Manager or with senior management through a formal process. Infigen’s Complaints Handling Policy explains the formal process. A summary of it is available here.
Please contact us if you wish to become a member of the Committee or participate at the next meeting.
Congratulations to Bungendore Tigers for getting the Grand Final!
For the first time the Bungendore Tigers will make an appearance at the Grand Final on Saturday, 29th August 2015 at the Mick Sherd Oval. The Ladies League Tag will kick off at 1.30pm and the Tigers at 3pm. We wish the Tigers good luck (as we know they have the skill)!
Infigen has been a proud sponsor of the Tigers since 2014.
