Olympian Plans a hat-trick at the Run with the Wind

22 September 2014

The two-time Olympian winner of Run with the Wind, Martin Dent, has set his eyes on winning for the third time. When asked on Twitter if he is in good form for a hat-trick this year, he responded, “[T]hat’s the plan. I should be there.”

Infigen is hosting a community fun run at its Woodlawn wind farm near Tarago, New South Wales, on Sunday, 26 October 2014.

Run with the Wind provides an opportunity to participate in a truly unique fun run where you can experience being up close to wind turbines overlooking Lake George, and ask questions of the wind farm employees.

“This year we have some exciting sponsors including Australian clothing brand Nimble Activewear, AFL footie club GWS Giants and Mitsubishi, showcasing its new plug-in hybrid electric Outlander,” said Frank Boland, event coordinator at Infigen Energy.

“Next year there might be a few more of us who not only run with the wind but drive with it,” said Mr. Boland.

“We continue to work with Veolia, the landowner, and Senvion, who provide operations and maintenance services, and are thankful to them for helping to make this event possible,” he said.

Net proceeds from ticket sales go to the Tarago Landcare Group’s Save the Lumley Road Trees project.

Woodlawn wind farm is approximately a 45-minute drive from Canberra and 3 hours from Sydney.
